It will be nice to have a day off from work. However the bad part is we don't get a full days pay what a shame on our union and all us for lettimg this happen. Neil gets paid  I am sure for a full day and he laughs all the way to the bank. Our contract should be coming to a end soon and I think like most of my fellow workers think more cuts on the way. I hope our union could get some of these cuts back but I really don't think so. Neil will cry again and try the same old game on us I can't compete with these low paying Co. with low bids, But he did on our backs and got paid the same amount of pay for his buses. My point is please union and fellow workers don't fall for the same old game. Give us what we deserve better pay and benifits for all of us. No more give back please. Oh yes I know we are lucky we have a job. Stop the bullshit talk Neil and pay up you cheap fuck.

Buzz see if you can find out for sure that way we will all know once and for all. In the pass he alwaysgave us a full days pay. I am sure one days payroll for all of us is alot of money. I don't think any employer will pay if they were not geTting paid. So since you have good contacts Ernie Etc. find out for all of us, Thank you.

Buzz STOP the BS You know EXACTLY what Neil gets paid for these days.Unless you are DEAF.....I Heard Ernie say at least on 3 occasions that over the years Neil gets 85% on school closures. STOP being a shill for the Union Goddammit! The rank and file need to learn how to read between the lines when it comes to contracts. I am sure that if EVERYONE on this job knew what we gave up in the last contract we would have voted NO. Also why doesn't ANYONE question that the Delegates have gotten a pay INCREASE the last 4 years in a row! Look up the website......... unionfacts.com It's all there in black and white my friends. Jeeze, John ... why so nasty? I said "I think ..." and I'm glad I stated it that way. I checked with Ernie and here's the deal ... if the DOE notifies Neil 24 hours in advance that there will be a snow day he DOES NOT get paid. We know they never announce a snow day 24 hours in advance. In that case, he does get paid 85% on snow days. To that end, I stand corrected. In either case, we get 85%.

Here is MY frustration......EPP...WTF goin on with this...First we hear Albany goes on holiday break, as soon as they get back in January will be brought on floor for vote. now we hear that the bill must be re-written. But you, and others, never did ... even when we were at our strongest. "Let's clean up the union" you all said. They made their phone calls and accusations and eventually succeeded in destroying the very thing that made 1181 as powerful as it was. You want to blame it on the shop steward being inside? Certainly not his fault our watchdog has no teeth to back him up. It was your friends that made 1181 the paper tiger it is now .... but hey... numerous investigations and audits proved one thing ... they're squeaky clean.

I know I tried very hard to except and move on but the lack of good Union leadership is not here and everyday is worse.  Nothing personal but I lost what ever hope I had was when I here the very guys that tell me they fight hard,only to find they go out dinner an hang with management that has been hell on so many,and also discuss other brother or sister busines in the drivers bullshit rm.thats it for me,I cannot work with people who play games with livelyhood.  Hope 1181 will survive but don't look good.

You know 1union ,there is never a time you come on here being happy or saying anything nice about OUR union. For awhile you were quiet and all thought you disappeared, but here you are again saying shit about the union. If you're that unhappy, then leave. Leave the job that made you pay your bills and gave you coverage for you and your family. How many years you in this union? You say you're tired but yet you beat up every one that ever worked at Pioneer. You mention Jimmy Connors who is dead .Ed Gig who is retired. You mention Bill Hass who is retired. Seems to me you live in the past, and not looking to the future. You can't take change. Whether you like it or not times have changed drastically. Do us all a favor either stop whining or leave. Because people like you only bring the union down.
