True to form, the online strike vote poll accurately predicted the actual vote outcome.

Pioneer, all yards: 828 Yes, 45 No (approved by more than 94%)

Pioneer, Staten Island: 463 Yes, 11 No (approved by more than 97%)

I'd say we're pretty well united.

Hey this was sweet today,Union Strong!

But one sour note was witness by so many union brothers and sisters. Eadicicco refused the ballot and walked away.WTF! Why work along side all of us who care what happens to the union and our jobs? If you are that unhappy buddy then quit !I am sure there are some who think that was not a statement but disrespect.

yabba

dont let it bother you... karma is a bitch... opt outs should have no voice anyways...

John Eadicicco

Since you are so concerned about me ......................Just Right....................... I will respond to you and everyone else so concerned. I am union 100%. not like you phony fucks. You know why??????????  Neil has us behind the 8 ball because you so called Union Members cover work , so you can line you pockets with his money, when in reality NOT covering work would subject Pioneer to fines from the D.O.E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Further more, in recent history if you were such a union supporter than you would have voiced your opposition when a Pioneer Driver testified against ANOTHER driver at at O.P.T hearing causing that driver to be Decertified (fired). When I voiced my displeasure to Michael Cordiello about this .................I was cursed at over the phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I have been in 4 different unions in over 40 years of my employment and I have NEVER seen the Bullshit that goes on in this Union so keep my name off your lips and have a good day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The overwhelming majority has spoken and hopefully Neil is not only listening but more importantly comprehending. As far as John goes if true I don't know what his reasoning was but I'm sure if we are forced to walk he will be there with us. With regards to opt outs I have to disagree with you. If Members are putting extra money in their pockets  for themselves & their families what is wrong with that. He is only one of probably a 100 at Pioneer SI yard alone. When opt out became an option 5 or 6 years ago I disagreed with it because it is taking money away from the Fund but apparently it was okay with the majority because it happened. It's something our Reps negotiated so as the usual norm why disagree with them now. Also if need be it can be used as a bargaining tool.

LMR

Glad to see the high percentage of us are on the same page."In Unity there is Stregnth."As far as the opt out,we should remain in and forego the extra money in our pocket. It will hurt him more out of his pocket in a very big way.Dont just think for yourself only but for the greater good of all of us.

I think when yabba said "opt outs" he was referring to people who didn't want to vote ... abstainers ... not medical plan opt outs.

I'm not concerned about you ..you disgraceful union fuck! I am disappointed in another UNION person not showing solidarity. There is no reason for you to make a spectacle of not voting yes or no. And by the way I spoke to a union official about your accusation of a member testifying against another member. I was told that is not true. You are stirring lies. I don't cover anyone's work and I DON 'T line my pocket with anyone's money but what I earn!! The people that cover work are foolish and yet they do it over and over. Most of us have been outspoken about that. But obviously they don't care. And if you were so concerned about this than why do you line your pockets with Neils money?? He does sign our checks every week. If you don't like his money than quit!. But don't make a fool of others if we feel that the union is for us.
And if you were in 4 different unions over the course of 40 years than you should know by now what solidarity means. Or do you bash those unions as well as you do this one?
I will speak however I please especially when I see a union member disgracing my union. If this upsets you than don't make a show the way you did this morning.
Maybe there was good reason why Michael cursed you out... Because you shouldn't have stuck your nose where it don't belong. And look what happened it was all lies told to you!

PROUD MEMBER

Thanks for the clarification Buzz. I hear opt out and automatically think of the medical.

John Eadicicco

Just right.... I speak Nothing but the truth ... So grow a pair of balls n attach your name instead of hiding behind a keyboard!!!!!

John Eadicicco

And by the way I did not do anything, but choose not to vote, which I believe is my right!!!!!

Well Well Well now we have a good strike vote by the numbers here at Pioneer and may I say we had a good strike vote at the union meeting. So where do we stand now, same place no where fast. Lets do it my way and walk out the fucking door soon, real soon cause no matter how many times we vote strike its not going to happen. Sorry just my opinion. P.S. Neil knows that too.

You think a strike is not going to happen? I hope there's no need for it, but if there is, IT WILL. Why would you think otherwise?

Buzz the Union calls a strike and tells us when to hit the street. All I hear is Neil is not giving us shit having said that the Union knows that and they are not telling us to walk off the job. So you tell me what are they waiting for to tell us walk off the job. Well now they know lets go and stop the bullshit.
