Then I misunderstood your use of that term in your post. Please forgive my caustic reply; it was totally reactionary.

I love my job and really do like working at pioneer but its time for everybody to stand tall and fight for our rights to make a living.Cant believe not only he stands with the fat bastard who screwing our union for over 33yrs,but then sends his puppet owen down to the picket line to do his dirty work as soon as our shopstwart is not around.If hes got somthin to say to us come around when ernies there or some of us who have no job no benefits and no time for his union busting bullshit and say what he wants to say.As a proud member of 1181 i come to work everyday put up with bullshit from kids,parents and school staff. I keep my bus as clean has i can and get no violations and do my job to make my union proud.I really thought neil was differentbut the hand writing is on the wall.Would love to see him and his family live on what he pays me for a month and then ask him if he still wants to take a pay cut.Most of us have to work 2 to 3 jobs to support our famlies(school cost,danceclass,little leauge etc)or maybe 1 vac.The bridges cost r up gas prices r up everything but my paycheck.Thats why we need to protect our unionand its members. 1union....well said. Also ....the reality is once we get some kind of settlement with our protection(EPP) then the next major battle takes place with Pioneer as we have no contract. This fight now with the city ...is also a chance for Pioneer to make money as well. If the EPP is included and bids stay in the neighborhood of where they were in the past. Someone smart that can see savings internally in running his business saving 10-15 percent say as an example makes that much more when there is more money coming in via contract. I just hope this isnt the standard to get all of that savings(or the original 20% as he asked) all from his Drivers ,matrons and mechanics.
