I.S. 2 never had the variance for 7 and 8, but now they will. Where's the logic? (I know... the DoE doesn't know the meaning of the word.)

The good news is that we have 16 new runs due to the 7th and 8th graders coming back.

The bad news is that the 7th and 8th graders are coming back.

Frank LaRocca's mom, Frances, passed away. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 5, 2-4 and 7-9 at Casey McCallum Rice Funeral Home, 30 Nelson  Ave. Condolences to Frank and his family.

Claim unemployment if you made less than $405 gross last week ... indicate how many days you worked. 

As it stands now, we are getting paid only for the days we worked this week. If you worked only today (Wed.) or otherwise made less than $405 for the week, claim unemployment on Sunday and indicate how many days you worked.

An Atlantic driver beaten by another motorist died a couple of days ago. AE spokeswoman Carolyn Daly said Domenic Gatto expresses 20% less condolences.

Little snots upstate NY harassing this poor, old bus monitor. Not sure why someone who can't control them is a monitor, but, after seeing this video,  someone started a fund hoping to raise $5000 to send her on vacation. So far more than $300,000 has been raised ... more than 20 times her annual salary of about $15,000.

Besides the usually great job Dino and Rob do in the yard, drivers were treated to a bottle of ice cold water this afternoon as they left their buses and headed to the drivers. Rob said he didn't buy the water (it was left over from a fund raiser) but it was very thoughtful of him to lug it to work, buy ice and hump the cooler up the hill.

Dino, his usual personable self, was pressing the flesh, greeting drivers, and offering to wipe the brows of those who supplied their own towels. (Kidding). Keep strumming and belting out those tunes, Dino, and who knows ... one day you'll be as famous as Ferraby Lionheart!

The summer runs were hung today. The pick is scheduled for Monday. There are 19 regular summer school runs (4 days/week) plus 3 St. Johns runs that go 5 days a week and run for 2 weeks only.
